Morii is defined as the deep, often bittersweet, desire to capture a fleeting moment or experience, frequently associated with the urge to take a photograph to preserve a passing instant.
From memento mori, a small reminder of your mortality + torii, traditional Japanese gates that mark the threshold between the profane and the sacred. Pronounced “moh-ree.”

Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Jenna — the artist behind Morii Tattoos.

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember and went on to study Art at university, specialising in portraiture. That foundation in observation and realism eventually led me into tattooing, where I now focus on fine line and realistic work that feels delicate, detailed and timeless.

Working one-to-one from my private studio in Great Notley, I create a calm, considered experience where you can feel comfortable, listened to and completely at ease.

Alongside tattooing, I balance full-time work, offering evening and Saturday appointments — making it easier for other full-time workers to book something meaningful without disrupting their schedule.

If you’re thinking about your next piece, I’d love to hear your ideas and create something personal to you.
